Brian H. Hess

His practice focuses on civil litigation, insurance defense, insurance coverage, construction law, premises liability defense, product liability, commercial litigation, contract disputes, and personal injury defense. He is a member of the Utah State Bar and has been admitted to practice law in Utah State courts; the U.S. District Court for the District of Utah; and the Tenth Circuit Court of Appeals. Brian has been recognized as one of Utah Business Magazine’s “Legal Elite” in the areas of Civil Litigation and Insurance. Brian received a bachelor’s degree in English from Brigham Young University. He earned his J.D. from the University of Idaho College of Law where he served as the Executive Editor of the Idaho Law Review. He is the author of the comment: The Planning/Operational Dichotomy: A Specious Approach to the Discretionary Function Exception in the Idaho Tort Claims Act, 40 Idaho L. Rev. 225 (2003).
